It was second nature to me. It was normal. Then I would look at the books and talk with people and see what else I could do to increase profits and decrease costs. Negotiating was my sixth sense and I was good at it. I did this for 28 years. I loved it. I loved to wear my power suits. It made me feel…well powerful. I loved taking million dollar companies and transform them into multi million dollar companies. I didn’t necessarily love the long hours I kept but I knew there was a payoff at the end. I loved working with people.

Then one day…it was all gone. Poof…the life I knew disappeared into a plume of smoke. The signs were all there but I just didn’t see them. You know…with all the long hours I spent at the office. Or maybe I didn’t want to see them. Maybe I continued working so hard so that it would distract me from the problems in my life that I wanted to pretend didn’t exist. Or maybe I just shoved them “under the carpet”. Does this sound familiar?

Some of you already know the story. Some of you may not. The story is long and sorted…and one that I get into when companies and organizations call and ask me to come speak to their executives. It’s a story they have lived or are currently living. It’s a story of perseverance and one that had a successful ending but it almost turned very tragic. And you know what is just as tragic…continuing on the same path you are currently headed and being miserable and discontent every step of the way.

No…I told myself…I didn’t want to get back in the corporate world. I don’t need that life anymore. I don’t want to be back in that lifestyle. I don’t want to get sucked back in. That’s what I told myself for years. And it was true. That part of my life was over and no I didn’t want to re enter the corporate world. However, a part of me missed it. A part of me loved it so I started to think about how I might be able to get back in that world and at the same time avoid the pitfalls that plagued me while I was doing it.

I found the answer. I would become a catalyst for your success. The word catalyst means “a person or thing that precipitates an event”. The EVENT is a more balanced life when it comes to the high stakes world of big business. And that person is ME. Why would you want to live a more balanced life, you ask? It’s simple really. So that you can achieve the success you want AND be happy doing it…otherwise you will work your life away and wonder where it all went. I lived it and now I’m teaching it and I couldn’t be happier.

Don’t believe me? It’s okay. I said the same thing once upon a time. But for those who are reading this and are thinking…that’s what I want. That’s how I feel. I get it. I’m here to tell you that YOU CAN do it. Check out some of my FAST TRACKtm programmes. It could be the best decision you’ve ever made in business…and in life.

Jacqueline Muller

Sometimes I can still picture myself sitting behind my desk, talking on the phone and placing orders with our vendors that numbered in the millions of dollars.
